The SY-24 surface wave instrument is a set of 12/24 channel high-resolution, digital instruments with functions such as time-sharing sampling, stacking, filtering, signal enhancement, noise suppression, and real-time display of measured waveforms on site. It is based on the VR-f curve (i.e. dispersion curve) or VR- λ R-curve.

The intrinsic relationship between VR-f curve or variation pattern and underground geological conditions, through the inversion interpretation of dispersion curve, can obtain the propagation velocity VR of Rayleigh waves in different depth ranges underground and the geological structure within a certain depth range, thereby evaluating the physical properties of the site or soil.

Widely used in engineering geological exploration in fields such as railways, bridges, water conservancy, transportation, electric power, and urban construction, it can also be used for resource exploration in fields such as oil, coal fields, uranium mines, and groundwater.

* Survey of the sliding zone and undulating shape of the sliding surface of the landslide mass;
* Underground buried objects, ancient tomb sites, caves, and goaf surveys;
* Detection of dam hazards in large and medium-sized reservoirs;
* P-waveand s-wave (shear wave) velocity well logging;
* Seismic refraction wave and reflection wave exploration.
